LFCN: You might have pain emanating from the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve especially if you wear tight fitting clothing. Pain can get worse with cycles. A nerve block can help identify this as the cause if it is.

What causes right low back pain and front right thigh pain?

Neural irritation: There are several causes of low back pain and thigh pain. Problems with the hip joint can often cause back/buttock pain that radiates to the groin and thigh. Irriation to the lumbar nerve roots in the lower back can also cause leg pain. Thigh pain is often seen with irritation to the l2, l3, and/or occasionally L4 nerve roots.

Pain in hip and groin, sore to sit and especially can't lie on side. Groin seems to be swollen, pain down front of thigh. I seem to pee a lot more to.

See a doctor.: I am not sure what your question really is. You need to be evaluated by a physician. It may very well be hip pain but that would not explain the urinary symptoms.

Work closely with...: Besides what have been discussed for someone st 47, it's worthwhile to think about possible DJD of hip or regional musculoskeletal or neuromuscular pain. And collectin the feature and degree of pain and other related symptoms with the detailed sequence of event, especially to watch if the pain and ache is position-physically related. So, ask expert for detailing timely.

Lumbar Disk: 70-80% of lumbar disk herniations will improve without surgery, especially in a woman. Try to avoid activity which increases pain down your leg to allow the nerve an environment to heal faster. Rest, physical therapy, non and steroid medication, and traction (decompression) are all proven nonsurgical treatment options.

Left Hip pain and pain in top front thigh/. Painful when lifting leg up. Pain started in big toe which has been pinned for several years.

Get evaluated: Your pain can have multiple sources, but it sounds like you may have a "positive straight leg raise, " which means potential nerve compression. Nerve compression can cause a radiculopathy and lower extremity pain. If you have any bowel or bladder symptoms its a sign of an emergency.

Would a central disc herniation (l4/l5) have to be quite big to cause sciatica down both legs? And could it cause pain in front of the thigh?

Would a central disc herniation (l4/l5) have to be quite big to cause sciatica down both legs? And could it cause pain in front of the thigh?

Lower leg symptoms: L5 nerve impingement (L4-5 level) from a herniated disc can cause weakness in extending the big toe and potentially in the ankle (foot drop). Numbness and pain can be felt on top of the foot, and pain may also radiate into the buttock. S1 nerve impingement (L5-S1) may cause loss of the ankle reflex and/or weakness in ankle push off (patients cannot do toe rises). Numbness and pain in foot noted.

43 years old, lower back pain, front of thigh pain, difficulty moving and lower spine isn't straight. What could it be? Is it serious? 1week already

Could be: New onset low back pain w/pain in the thigh and difficulty straightening lower spine could be a sign of a nerve root issue and should be checked out w/o delay. This could also be musculoskeletal only and could even be a GI issue masquerading as a neurologic problem. In any event. Don't delay. See the dr quick.

I have left low back pain and left front thigh pain when standing fully erect after a back strain. 62, lean, very fit dancer. What is treatment?

Visit Your Doctor: It is possible that you have lumbar degenerative disease with possible nerve root impingement causing the pain in your thigh which is referred to as radicular pain when coming from the back. You should see your primary care physician to be evaluated as other conditions could also cause these symptoms and you are deserving of an examination and work-up.

Back/neck pain: If you have arthritis in the low back, then you likely have arthritis in the neck too. The nerve pain can be relieved with neuropathic pain medications. Anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxer medications can relieve the pain related to the joints, tendons and muscles of the spine. Stretching exercises, physical therapy and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation may help too.

Radiculopathy: Your symptoms aren't consistent with a 5 1 disc. Yes ask your primary care physician to refer to neurologist or spine surgeon and look for something higher in your spine.
