Sore ankle and pain on bottom of foot near little toe when I walk. From my heels?

Possibilities: Depends. Is there swelling? May just be a strain/sprain: especially if walking excessively in heels which is not good. If swelling is present and very painful may be a stress fracture. If persistent, see podiatrist.

Plantar fasciitis: Plantar fasciitis, or an arch ligament strain is a very common reason for arch and heel pain. Other causes of heel pain can be tarsal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, a stress fracture, referred nerve pain among others. Talk to a podiatrist to help sort this out.

If my toe is streaky black on too from severe gout attack suggestions? Did receive 50 mg decadrone today. Some numbness exists bottom of foot pain m2

Black is not normal: Gout shouldn't cause black discoloration. It suggests some form of bleeding issue, whether it be related to bruising or an abnormality with the blood vessels in that area. Or, it can suggest death of tissue in that area, so called necrosis. Alternatively, if you are using a silver based dressing in that location it could discolor your skin. Nonetheless a healthcare provided should assess this!

Wart removed from bottom of foot 3months ago, it grew back. Still hurts when touched, now there's a tingling sensation through foot and toes. What is this?

Warts: It is a big problem. You try to remove the, spray them, kill them but yes, most of them regrow. And they can go deeper to put pressure on the nerves and cause pain on pressure or that numb, tingling sensation. Talk to your doctor and you can be sent either to a dermatologist or a podiatrist to see if they can remedy that.

I just had plantar fasciotomy surgery about 2 weeks ago and I still get a pins and needle feeling in my toes and bottom of foot is that normal?

Talk to surgeon: Hi, 2 weeks is still fresh post-op. I would call the surgeon's office ans either ask to talk to her/him or get an office visit. The best person to answer your question is the surgeon who performed the procedure and is familiar with the surgical pathology encountered. Get well soon

Pain in heel & near toes, top & bottom of foot, hard to walk, pins and needles off and on, it's been like this for about 4weeks, what could it be?

Pain in heel & near toes, top & bottom of foot, hard to walk, pins and needles off and on, it's been like this for about 4weeks, what could it be?

Just in one foot?: If the symptoms are just in one foot, and they affect the top and bottom of your foot, then radiculopathy may be the cause. This is a condition where nerve roots in the back are compressed. This normally affects one side. Another possible cause is peroneal neuropathy, which is often caused by crossing the legs too much.

With any: Unusual pain, swelling and numbness in the leg and foot it is highly recommended that you get seen in person by your doctor as soon as possible. You will likely need some lab work done and possibly an xray. Most important is to get a proper history and physical which will give an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.

Toes on 1foot go red, numb, hot and tingly when standing in the afternoon. I have slipped disc L4/L5. Also have callous on bottom of foot.?

Toes on 1foot go red, numb, hot and tingly when standing in the afternoon. I have slipped disc L4/L5. Also have callous on bottom of foot.?

Unrelated: Slipped disc at L4/5 can cause numb and tingly toes is the disc is compressing a nerve. It does not cause red and hot toes. A slipped disc compressing a nerve also tends to cause radiating pain, numbness and tingling and not typically only symptoms in the toes only. Callouses on the bottom of foot is certainly not related to the slipped disc at L4/5.

Got small piece (s) of glass in bottom of foot. Soaking in epsom now. Any chance (at all) that glass could somehow go up into bloodstream? What 2 do?

Got small piece (s) of glass in bottom of foot. Soaking in epsom now. Any chance (at all) that glass could somehow go up into bloodstream? What 2 do?

Glass in foot: There is near zero chance that the glass could get into your blood stream; even a small chip is way too big. The problems you commonly see is that you may get an infection where the glass cut your skin (this will hurt), or the area may not heal properly with the glass (depending on where it is and how deep). If it is not hurting, it can be safe to just wait. Your body will slowly try to extrude it.

Brown spot on bottom of foot, what is this?

MELANOMA: This should be seen soon by a podiatrist or dematologist, to make sure it is not a melanoma, which is a serious cancer. Again, I'm not saying it is, but it must be ruled out. Regards, Dr. Latva

How can I safely remove corns from the bottom of foot?

How can I safely remove corns from the bottom of foot?

Corns: Corns are essentially focal areas of dry, thick, calloused skin. Otc corn pads use salicylic acid to dissolve them away. Also use of a foot file or pumice stone can help mechanically remove them. May want to see your doctor to make sure they are not plantar warts--they can resemble a corn.
