Cymbalta (duloxetine): Cymbalta is a good option for neuropathy because it works on the peripheral nerves by a different pathway than Lyrica (pregabalin) or Neurontin (gabapentin). Cymbalta should be started at a low dose at bedtime and gradually increased over several weeks to avoid the side effects and to determine the effectiveness on the treatment of the neuropathy. ...Read more

Constant pain from fibromyalgia take lyrica (pregabalin) but do on't help with muscle so ssasms any suggestions?
Muscle relaxants: Lyrica (pregabalin) is more of a nerve blocking agent for treatment of the fibromyalgia. Yes but not always: Any medication that affects the central nervous system can definitely affect memory, and in that Lyrica (pregabalin) qualifies. If one was started on a high dose, there definitely could be memory complaints. Typically in my experience if the dose is started low and brought up very slowly memory problems are not seen. ...Read more
