I am experiencing leg pain, leg swelling and calf swelling my leg is red hot to touch my gp is not open don't know what to do?

I am experiencing leg pain, leg swelling and calf swelling my leg is red hot to touch my gp is not open don't know what to do?

Usually an emergency: Calf-swelling with pain is usually an emergency because doctors want to evaluate the patient to see if there is a blood clot in the leg. Dad is experiencing leg pain, leg swelling and leg tenderness in right upper leg near main artery, ultrasound is clear but has severe pain can't walk?

Keep looking: Was the ultrasound done to look for a blood clot, or something else. There are multiple conditions that could be causing it, and there are more sensitive tests as well. It can be from the back, from the hip, or still be vascular related. I would say clearly that something is not right and to keep looking. An MRI of both the hip and the lumbar spine may be a consideration. ...Read more

I am experiencing leg tenderness, leg pain and lower leg swelling.

I am experiencing leg tenderness, leg pain and lower leg swelling.

Have it checked: Lowe leg tenderness and swelling, particularly when these symptoms are in one leg only, suggests phlebitis or even venous thrombosis. It would be wise to have this checked. In the meantime wrapping the leg in an ace bandage (4 inch) decreased activity and elevate the leg would help. Also one aspirin 3 times a day. Good luck.

I had a d dimer yesterday for leg pain no swelling came bk negative now im panicking I took 75mg aspirin 24 hours before test can this give false neg?

The D dimer: Test reveals products of a DISSOLVED clot and does not distinguish what DISSOLVED it! However although Aspirin can PREVENT CLOTTING it does NOT dissolve clots THUS UNLIKELY to produce a "false negative"
Hope this helps!
