Deep pain outer right upper thigh for 6 months.Hurts to press on it, to lay on that side and a week ago it was so painful i couldn't walk for 2 days.

Sounds like Trochan-: Teric bursitis, which can get aggravated by lying o n that side, or get bumped on that side. Need to take pain meds, use a heat pack, exercises are helpful. See an orthopod, to ensure correct DX is made so treatment is initiated. Good luck. ...Read more

Don't ignore it: If you've had any recent workouts or trauma it could be a muscular source of pain. Damage to ligaments or tendons could also cause some discomfort that worsens with weight-bearing. Rest, heat or ice, over-the-counter pain control medications, or compression dressings (an ace bandage) are things that could be tried. Have it looked,at : Did you have an evaluation after you fell? Did you have an x-ray? Was anything broken? Did you have any bruising? Tis is highly unusual for you to be "hardly abler to walk" two years after a fall without something significant going on. Have it looked at by your doctor. ...Read more

Week back took one extra step in staircase without realizing in the dark. Since then during sleep upper thigh and sometime heel pains when walking.

Thigh pain: Could be a number of things but of concern is clots. Any swelling? Are you on birth control pills or have a family history of clots?
