I am 37 yr old female smoker that is experiencing severe pain in upper middle of back and in chest when I breathe?

Severe pain in the upper back and chest pain on breathing
requires immediate attention. Several serious conditions can cause these symptoms, including pulmonary embolism (blood clot to the lung). Other less serious causes include a viral pleurisy and herniated thoracic disk, among others. Can be based on lung problem or simply INTERCOSTAL MUSCE Pull (The small muscles in between the ribs)
A chest x ray is in order and you should see your Primary Care Provider for the results of that film and appropriate treatment!

Could be: If you have a muscle spasm in your mid back, it can pinch your intercostal nerve (the nerve between your ribs). That can cause pain which radiates around to your front. I would like to make sure you do not have a thoracic aneurysm that may be dissecting (if the pain is severe and like ripping something inside). You really need to be examined by a physician. Several Things: There are many things that may cause these symptoms, ranging from life-threatening aortic dissection, pneumonia, pancreatitis to more common gas/ reflux and musculoskeletal strain. These often refer pain from front to back, and risk of serious things typically increases with age. Without examining you it's impossible to know hwich of the many causes of those symptoms are at fault.

I have dry patches on my back and my chest and It's been there a while it don't bother me at all it don't itch or anything please help!!
Eczema or fungus: See dermatologist but dry patches, use petroleum jelly after a shower to keep moisture in, if flairs try otc hydrocortisone cream 2x/d up to 2 weeks.
