Pain In Upper Left Back After Eating
Esophagitis: At 21 years of age, unless other issues unknown, it is likely that this upper left back pain is an esophagitis. This is likely not major problem now but suggests that you are drinking too much alcohol and you could have other accompanying problems that are serious like esophageal varices, ulcer and unlikely but potentially pancreas issues. You really need to stop alcohol until seeing your M.D.
Could reflux for a month and pain in your upper left back after eating be a possible sign of pancreatitis along with a small bulge next to rt rib?
See a GI doctor: Or your pcp right away. This sounds like it may be one of several things, but pancreatitis is not likely unless you have gallstones or are alcoholic. This may well be gallstones, or several other diagnoses and the only way to find out is to go and be examined. You may need endoscopy along with history and physical. Good luck.

27f don't smoke, exercise regularly...I've been having upper back pain along with pain in both of my forearms. Also a heart burn feeling after eating.
Chest pain: Sounds like you have back strain and esophageal reflux or peptic disease, try antacid for the heartburn or over the counter ranitidine. A massage may help the back pain but if you actually have an ulcer, it could manifest as back pain. Don't hesitate to go to your doc for an exam, it will help.
Why would I have left-sided mid&upper back pain after an EGD & colonoscopy? Hurts more when eating and swallowing. Biopsies were taken.
Invasive procedures,: such as EGD and colonoscopy, often cause discomfort afterwards, especially if biopsies are taken. Taking biopsies requires cutting out a tiny piece of the lining of your stomach and/or colon, it is normal for this to be painful. If it is painful to swallow, try drinking liquids and/or soft foods in order to allow your body to recover.

Multiple causes: This may be either a GI. kidney or muscular issue and requires an examination and testing.
See your doctor: There are many possibilities here, although left upper quadrant pain is unusual. Only the pancreas, spleen, large and small bowel are in that vicinity. Might the pain be muscular or due to rib injury? Are there other times that you experience the pain. Have you had any major trauma on left side?

Back pain : Certain foods are known to aggravate pain in certain gastrointestinal conditions like gastritis, ulcers, pancreas problem or gallbladder dysfunction. In order to make adequate diagnosis and get adequate treatment you need to see a physician who will obtain adequate history and perform a physical examination. Your physician will select what tests and treatments are needed. Hope you feel well soon.
I have pain in my left mid/lower back after eating certain foods (fats?) the pain is constant and dull and lasts for days. What could be the cause?
Not sure: It is unlikely related to the food. Do you sleep well or grind your teeth at night; if not sleeping well the muscles dont relax to allow blood flow in to heal a potential site of inflammation, this can cause a recurrent circuit that makes back pain easier to get. Mood can play a role, insomnia is a psychiatric "vital sign", use 2 aleve (naproxen) bid but can't think of a food assocaition, may get better answe.
Spine nerve irritate: Over the counter anti inflammatory medications may help following the instructions carefully. You can be having muscle spasms due to spinal nerve root irritation. If you have superficial muscle spasms, you can be helped usually by massage or hot packs. Massage that is helpful is usually enjoyable. If the massage causes you pain and is unpleasant, the massage is teasing the deep muscle spasms t.
Sharp upper back pain on the left side when breathing deeply started after cycling It took more than 15 minutes until the pain disappeared...?
Upper back pain: The pain that you describe is typical of an inflamed rib head as it inserts into the spine. Anti-inflammatory medications, stretching and massage can help. Apply ice at night and moist warm heat in the morning. Chiropractors are helpful with this problem. Injection of the rib head with a cortisone shot is another treatment option. If the pain persists then a thoracic MRI scan is warranted.
1 yr upper back pain. Now pain in left chest at the breastline.Pain only lasts seconds, usually when bending forward or lying on side. What causes this?
Mechanical: This is probably muscular. You need evaluation of musculoskeletal system. This will decide if it's muscle, bone , chest wall, lung, tendon, bursa, vertebral, etc.
Thoracic pain: This is unfortunately a very nonspecific complaint and could represent anything from scapulothoracic pathology to cervical radiculopathy to underlying chest pathology (i.e. Heart, lungs). If the pain has been present for over 6 weeks or is severe and waking you at night or if there are any other concerns then you should see a physician.
