Ss muscle tendonitis: The Supraspinatus, Ss, muscle of the superior shoulder region functions to lift the shoulder overhead. I have slight shoulder pain when raising my arm above my head and doing pressing movements. What is this?
Muscle/tendon injury: Without a history of a specific injury, your pain could be coming from the fact that you strained the muscles (deltoid or rotator cuff) around the shoulder or sprained the ligaments and joint that join the end of your collar bone (clavicle) to the shoulder blade (acromion portion of the scapula). You should seek a thorough orthopaedic surgeon evaluation if the pain persists past a week. ...Read more

Pain top/front of both shoulders, from chin ups or lifting kettle bells. Worst when raising my outstretched arm from eye level to overhead. Three?
Probably kettle ball: You seem to be complaining of deltoid and primarily anterior deltoid pain which is worked with raising arms in the front. But if you're kipping your pullups then this will put tremendous stress on the shoulder as well. The exercises you mentioned often go with cross fit plans. I've lifted for many yrs and my concern is doing complex moves w/weights so rapidly when near fatigue. Bad form = injuries. ...Read more

Your arm must be supported at heart level on a table or desk to obtain an accurate reading. (also: be sure you're at complete rest for 10 minutes and that the cuff is the right size for your arm's diameter). Thank you for asking - that's a great question! ...Read more
