When I take a deep breath, I have pain in my trachea or maybe thyroid area - I'm not exactly sure. The pain also extends into my chest.?
If this has been ongoing for awhile see your MD. May have some irritation - leaving article about acid reflux. If you are a smoker may have some tissue irritation. Use humidifier at night to keep tissues hydrated but if this continues for more than a week get a good check up - especially if voice changes or problems with swallowing.
