The symptoms often involves the thmb and index+middle finger and usually worse at night/am. Being a diabetic does increase risk of getting carpal tunnel syndrome, but I would not say that your symptom/trouble is from diabetes. I suggest consulting doc for accurate diagnosis. Good luck. ...Read more

Sharp pains in left arm sometimes dull ache. When pressing thumb and first finger together it's worse.?

This would be a clue to the tendinitis location. Other conditions could also be included and you need to see your physician for an evaluation. Other choices could be neurological or vascular to na ...Read more

What might be the cause of pain in a small non swollen vein in right hand between thumb and first finger?

Likely muscle/joint: If there is no swelling of the vein or associated redness, this is unlikely to be a vascular source of discomfort. The area between your thumb & first finger can become sore from prolonged movements like grasping, pulling or holding something, esp if repeatedly. Often discomfort doesn't peak for 24-48 hours after such activity. Try to limit such movements to see if improves. ...Read more

You: You may be dealing with a fungal infection. Try an over the counter anti-fungal cream like clotrimazole; you can apply the cream twice a day for a week. If you do not notice an improvement then it may just be a dermatitis and you may need a stronger steroid cream. At this point you would need to be evaluated by your doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
Good luck. ...Read more

Surgery for trigger digits often results in postoperative swelling, which can exacerbate symptoms that were previously subclinical. Symptoms may resolve spontaneously, but injection or surgery may be needed. ...Read more
