Pain In The Veins Behind The Knee After Brisk Walking
After walking about a mile, i get a weakness in my right leg with a pinching feeling in a vein behind my knee. It makes me drag my leg. What is it?
Claudication: This sounds like claudication which is a clinical diagnosis given for muscle pain (ache, cramp, numbness or sense of fatigue), classically in the calf muscle, which occurs during exercise, such as walking, and is relieved by a short period of rest. It is most commonly due to peripheral arterial disease or lumbar spinal stenosis. See your family doctor to sort this out. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

That is: In the area of the superficial saphenous vien and if tender, prominent and at all reddish then there may be a clot in the vein. Not as important as if in a deep vein but should be evaluated by your doctor or a physician in a competent urgent care center or fast track of an emergency department. I have spider veins on both legs and have severe knee and leg pain, also the veins swell up and causes it to be hard to sit, stand, and walk.
Other reasons.: In addition to your spider veins, you sound as if you may also have varicose veins. Your symptoms, however, are not typical of just vein problems. Sudden swelling on back of both my knees. A few tiny dark veins appeared on one & that leg hurts more esp w/ walking? Dizzy/tired. 33/f in shape
Popliteal swelling: While this might be something relatively benign, like a bakers cyst, it could also be something serious like a blood clot. I am not sure of the relation of the popliteal swelling to the dizziness and fatigue. Please go to your nearest ER or at least Urgent Care for this constellation of symptoms if you cannot see your regular doctor today. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Got varicose veins in 1 leg. Area just under knee on back throbbing. Got bruises near but it hurts above it. Better (still there) when walking. Dvt?
Baker cyst: An ultrasound is definitive and critical to get. Though what you have sounds like a baker's cyst - a benign fluid filled cyst - pain or swelling in this area can always potentially be a DVT and must have an ultrasound to rule that out. Go to an urgent care and call ahead to make sure they have ultrasound if you are looking for the most economical option. A phlebologist can also check you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
