I did 30 minutes of cardio and now have pain radiating in my upper back on the right side. I don't regularly exercise. Is this normal? I'm 30.
No, not normal: "cardio" is a very non-specific term for exercise that gets your heart rate elevated for therapeutic benefit. Not knowing what specific exercise you were doing is somewhat limiting. None the less the pain you describe does not sound like a normal consequence of exercise. It may be something as simple as a strained muscle but if persist recommend seeing your doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Worth looking into: Cardiac pain is less often right-sided. However, over the internet its tough to know for sure. Without knowing details of your recent cardiology exam its hard to know how concerned to be. There are instances where a good cardiac check up did not reveal heart disease and yet it still be present. If this isn't rapidly clearing I'd get back in to see a physician pronto and have it re-analyzed. ...Read more
