Temple pain : It is a muscle pain in the temporal muscle which could be due to TMJ and or stress. Try Motrin 600 to 800 mg (4 of the 200 mg tablets available over the counter). Try warm compresses 20 mins every hour and mouth guard for a football helmet. It is 5 dollars at the sporting goods store. Facial pain: You're describing musculoskeletal pain of the temporalis muscle. This could be associated with a common headache, but more likely is associated with temporomandibular joint dysfunction.
