I have dull pain in the left back side of my head that goes away and comes again throught the day . The pain started last night . I am really scared t?
I'm having some burning and pinching pain in the left back side of my head and it's very tender to touch. Any ideas?

Pinched Nerve/Muscle: Most times back pain that is sudden onset will resolve. He should use anti-inflammatory meds like ibuprofen, aleve around the clock and even tylenol (acetaminophen) to help. If this does not resolve he should see his doctor for a muscle relaxant as well. If it still does not resolve, i would recommend him to see a spine specialist for a full evaluation and testing. Many Possibilities: Depending on how long it's been going on, i would consider an evaluation by a spine specialist. Sometimes it could be a muscle imbalance, early onset arthritis or scoliosis. Time 4 a bed change: Most likely you have some weakness and spasm in the muscle area and laying on it/not moving much during the night can reduce the blood flow to that region causing the aching. If change of position quickly resolves the pain, it is likely so. Back strengthening/stretching, and range of motion exercise will help, along with a new bed? If not better in 2-3 wks, consult doc.
