Pain In The Big Toe Area
For over 2 months when bending big toe sharp pain above PIP joint area, not in the joint. Numb to the right of pain down to big toe mound. What is it?
A tendon: It seems that you re not feeling pain in the joint, but The Extensor hallucis Longus tendon might be the source. It may have been strained causing some inflammation. I have pain in the bottom of my foot right below the big toe and before the arch of the foot it radiates to the 2&3 metatarsal .

Any diabetic with : Foot pain warrants a in person exam as there is little room for misdiagnosis. You could have sesamoiditis, a stress fracture, tendonitis etc. Any possibility of a charcot foot must be considered. You make no mention of skin integrity and this must be examined as well. Like : Like with no many questions asked here, there is too little information to give you a proper answer or guide you in the right direction. How long has this pain been present? Was there an injury? Did it start suddenly or slowly? Is there redness, heat, swelling? Have you tried taking anything, and if so, what, and did it help? Pain on the left lower back, and sharp left leg pain which goes down to the front. The inside of thigh to knee feels weak, and left leg/foot feels numb between the big toe & the second toe.

Get examined by md: Sesamoid injuries to the big toe are relatively uncommon. Fractures to the sesamoid bones are most commonly seen in ( American) football. More likely your symptoms in your age etc. could be related to sprains of the 1st toe metatarsalphalangeal joint(turf toe). See an experienced ORS for examination and treatment options. I would: See a foot doctor. The question is are the lumps or bumps really on the tendon or in the subcutaneous tissues.....either way you should be examined, much easier to make a diagnosis like that in person... Possible ganglionic cyst is an example without seeing you but if I saw your foot inperson I would know right away if that's what you had. ...Read more
