Is DVT pain localized? Have intermittent pain from RT thigh , back of knee and into calf. Recently had color Doppler u/s that was negative for DVT.

Both: Ultrasound is very good at excluding dvt above the knee but not quite as good below the knee. If your pain is persistent and an initial ultrasound is negative, it is sometime helpful to repeat the study in a few days. Too much: In all those anatomic distributions, I don't believe there is any one single diagnosis that can be invoked as an explanation. I'm afraid you have numerous areas of rheumatism and arthritis - I don't think your mild scoliosis is a factor here. ...Read more
