Pain ring finger: Hello ~ yes I suppose if you use a plektrum and balance your hand on the guitar with the ring finger, that could do it. But look carefully at everything to do to see where the overuse is. Piano, other musical instruments, holding a trumpet, gardening, computer work etc. It will get better. ONE thing you MUST NOT DO, is IMMOBILISE it or strap it because that causes fingers to go stiff very quickly.

Left hand pain around pinky and ring finger knuckles and left elbow pain, 24 weeks pregnant.?

Left hand pain around pinky and ring finger knuckles and left elbow pain, 24 weeks pregnant.?

Ulnar neuropathy: You have likely heard of carpal tunnel syndrome. This is a compression and irritation of the median nerve in the wrist. Ulnar tunnel syndrome, which it sounds like you may have, is a compression of the ulnar nerve in elbow. This nerve supplies the ring finger and pinky fingers. If it is compressed and irritated it can produce tingling and pain in those fingers. It is more common in pregnancy.

These things would: Seemingly be unrelated. Essential tremor is unusual at age 20, but not unheard of, and may run in families. Trauma or even early degenerative arthritis may cause finger stiffness and pain with flexion. Knuckle callouses or "pads" can also run in families and be associated with some genetic conditions including fibromatosis, or part of Dupuytren's disease. Consider Rheumatology consultation:)

I have pain in the knuckle of my left ring finger, it is worse when I bend the finger or use it, pain has spread to little left finger knuckle too?

More info please!: What do you do? (Work, hobbies etc) Are you right or left handed?? It is more likely than not that repetitive trauma rather than "arthritis" is responsible! You have to be a bit of a "detective" to find out! Hope this helps Dr Z

Exercise: The best exercise for "knuckle pain" is to grab a tennis ball and squeeze it frequently while you are sitting and watching tv. This will draw the fluid out of the joint that is painful.

Arthritis: You may be developing arthritic inflammation in the injured joint, however, if the pain is acute with a warm and tender joint, there may be bursitis, tendinitis or even osteomyelitis (doubtful without an acute penetrating injury). May take Motrin to relieve some of the inflammation and schedule an exam with a rheumatologist or a hand surgeon (plastic or orthopedic) you will need x-Ray of the hand

Joint or tendon?: This may be tendon rather than joint. Can't say for sure why you are experiencing numbness. Ask you physician to evaluate your symptoms. You may need to see a rheumatologist or hand orthopedic surgeon to clarify this.
