My leg and arm on my right side are swollen what causes this.?

My leg and arm on my right side are swollen what causes this.?

Doctor can evaluate: In order to swell up just on one side, there has to be more blood or more fluid in that side of the body. The primary care doctor might check to see if there is a blood clot or blood flow problem, if there is a problem in the nerves or nerve signals to that side of the body, if there is fluid in the tissues that is settling into one side of the body due to gravity or lymphatic blockage, etc...

Should your weaker side feel completely different than your dominant side? Sometimes my left side (arm and leg) feels weak and just weird all around.

Only slightly: U are right hand dominant so the left hand can feel clumsy and uncoordinated. Try to maximize your ability to use both hands. I never regretted learning to write with both right and left hands!! @Ambidexter

Anxiety: Numbness like thus is how your body is experiencing your stressed breathing. You are either breathing too shallow or too rapidly. These symptoms are a sign that you are not managing your anxieties well.

I'm experiencing numbness on the top, R. side of my head. Not simultaneously, numbness also on R.side of face, arm, and leg. What would be causing this?

I'm experiencing numbness on the top, R. side of my head. Not simultaneously, numbness also on R.side of face, arm, and leg. What would be causing this?

Numbness: Right sided numbness can signify a lesion like a growth on the left side of your brain (cerebral cortex). A demyelinating process like multiple sclerosis is less likely as scattered areas of numbness would be more apt to occur with that disorder. Nevertheless you should consult a neurologist and the appropriate examination and testing will be done in order to make a diagnosis.

I get an intense burning in my left side when I bend my left leg, or raise my left arm. It has been about two days.

Get neurology eval: The fact that you get the same sensation of left sided burning when you flex the leg OR raise the left arm is very difficult to explain off the top of my head from a purely anatomical view. You need to be seen and examined by a neurologist to get a better handle as to what is going on. It may also be a non-organic problem but that would come later after everything else checked out.

Why does my left leg & arm go numb? Now I can't lay on my side & if I do in a matter of seconds the numbness starts

See below: Unilateral numbness including arm and leg will require neurological consultation and further diagnostic studies including MRI of the brain. Make an appointment to see your doctor.

Uncertain neurologic: This could be neurologic - that means the neurologic system but you need to see your physicians to confirm this because the distribution does not include one area For instance which fingers? which side of the arm? Which part of the leg? How far up and down the leg? You can ask your physicians which tests have you had? It may be wise to see a neurologist or get another opinion

See your doctor: You potentially experienced another stroke, this on your right side, so get your doctor involved asap. Other possibility might be neck lesion with cord compression. Regardless of cause, get evaluatied and treated.

Notify your doctor: Based upon your description, we need to consider a focal seizure. An EEG test could clarify, but MRI of brain should be included. A neurologist could guide you.

I been having pain on and a tightnes in the left side of my back, and pain and numbnees in my left leg and now numbnees in my left arm. Can you help?

See doctor: You might have a problem with your spinal cord or the roots that come off it. You need to get seen by a health care provider as soon as convenient. If you also have weakness or if you develop incontinence, the situation is more urgent and should be seen the same day.

Mononeuritis mulripl: The most common cause of your symptoms, is a condition known as mononeuritis multiplex this is a condition, in which there is inflammation of multiple nerves, I believe to be due to a virus. I would sit in a relative. I mean, I would see a neurologist. It usually responds to the course of prednisone. I meant, it usually responds to a course of prednisone

? spondylosis: You experienced a spinal cord stimulation event of unclear cause at this time, and this initial sentinel event needs to be evaluated. Would suggest imaging studies, blood studies, and even visit to neurologist if necessary. Often these situations can be reversed readily.

I have a stroke and my right side has bad atrophy my legs and arm?

I have a stroke and my right side has bad atrophy my legs and arm?

Stroke rehab: You have right body weakness and muscle atrophy from lack of usage resulting from a stroke on left side of your brain. Depending of the nature and size of stroke lesion, you may recover some or all of your motor function with time. It is important to receive physical therapy and post-stroke rehab to keep your muscle tone and prevent permanent atrophy and chronic contraction of your tendons.

I have swelling in my R hand, arm, leg, and face, L side is normal. What is going on?

I have swelling in my R hand, arm, leg, and face, L side is normal. What is going on?

R sided swelling.: It is most unusual to have swelling on essentially the entire one side of the body. You should see your medical doctor for a full evaluation. Above the waist swelling is usually due to a different cause than below the waist and to have two separate reasons for the swelling is rare. You may need to consider an allergic reaction. See your PMD.

Numbness in face, arms, leg and stomach mostly on right side, what's going on?

Numbness in face, arms, leg and stomach mostly on right side, what's going on?

Yes: Would be concerned and especially is the symptoms are of sudden onset and progressive. Do you have other medical conditions like diabetes, HTN etc? You want to assure that it is not eg a stroke which would require urgent and attention.

Numbness in arm and leg on left side including face, pinched nerve?

Numbness in arm and leg on left side including face, pinched nerve?

Likely not: Numbness involving this much of your body can't be from a single "pinched" nerve. You should talk to your doctor about getting imaging of your brain to rule out things like a stroke, hemorrhage, or tumor.
