Ultrasound shows I have a cyst right ovary, I have leg pain from my right hand side of my hip to my leg. What us casing this aching dull pain?

Prob not the cyst: Unless the cyst is very big (more than 5 - 10 cm), it is unlikely to be related to the pain.

Need more information, so please see your doctor, including follow up for the right ovary if necessary.

The symptoms could relate to arthritis in the lumbar spine, or be related to sciatica (neural foraminal stenosis). Could be pulled muscle.

Consider lumbar spine MRI if no other cause is found. ...Read more

I had a pelvis ultrasound today and I have a haemoharrgic follicle on my right ovary which is 22mm. Will this affect my chances if conceiving?

No: Almost all women will experience ovarian cysts during an ovulatory cycle. At times they can bleed (hemorrhagic). 22 millimeters is quite small and clinically insignificant. This should not affect any future chance of conception. ...Read more

It: It can be very difficult to tell much about soft tissue structures like the ovary without contrast. Still, it sounds like there may be a discrepancy in the interpretations, so a follow-up study would be in order. The best way to look at the uterus and ovaries is with ultrasound.

The round and broad ligaments are normal structures, by the way, so the fact that they are seen is of no concern. ...Read more

Pain in right ovary for a week now has moved to left ovary, could this be cancer?

Not cancer!: Hi Georgia. Ovarian cancer typically does not cause pain and is certainly very rare in someone your age. It should go away shortly, if not I would seek medical attention. Good luck! ...Read more

Can ovulation cause pain in right ovary and right side of lower back that radiates down leg?

Hate to Ovulate?: Maybe. First of all, ovulation can cause pain on the side where the egg is released, sometimes severe. And sometimes there's some bleeding (to varying degrees) that can irritate that area. If irritated enough it can, rarely irritate the nerves down there and maybe cause the pain you describe but it should go away in a short time, like say a week. If not, then it's something else and you should see a doc ...Read more
