Pregnant?

Pregnancy is always a possibility. Take a home pregnancy test. They usually become positive when you are about a week late. If it's negative, repeat it in a week and see your doctor.

My breasts never get sore, but on my last period my right one is bigger and painful to touch. Why could that be?

Odds are that your symptoms as presented in the question are harmless but there is no way to verify that without an evaluation by your health care provider.

Swollen painful breasts with rashes and lower abdominal and back pain, fever and flushes . History of prolactinaemia.

See doctor

Rash
Please see a doctor for a thorough evaluation, preferably as endocrinologist. The first thought that jumps into my mind is something called a pituitary adenoma, but this cannot be diagnosed over the internet.

Breast_self_exam
Most of breast problems are benign , still no one should give advise with out examination, and miss a serious problem ,at 39 must have physical examination , mammography , if needed additional tests , then only you also will have peace of mind, please see your doctor & tell us good news

I was diagnosed with painful fibrocystic breasts. This all started 6 months after stopping with the pill. Could using the pill again relieve my pain?

Painful breasts

Many things can help with painful breasts and trust me when you have them sometimes they are painful! Cutting down on caffeine can help and restarting birth control can definitely help....but really who wants to give up their caffeine? Massage can also help although painful at first.

Dr. Jane Van Dis answered:

Since January I have experienced swollen painful breasts & abdominal pain. I had a hysterectomy May 2013, I kept my ovaries. What is happening to me?

Hormonal changes

Breast
The average age of menopause is 51, so at 47 it would still be a little early, but not impossible for these changes to be related to menopause. I would definitely want you to see a doctor though, to make sure that there's nothing serious going on. Typically progesterone is the hormone that causes breast pain and it could be that your hormones are just 'off'. See a doctor though to make certain!
