Pinky side of hand and thumb side of hand are leaning in towards eachother a little. Clean ncs aroun hand/wrist area. What could cause this?
I hit the pinky side of my hand really hard, on a metal platen, and now it hurts really bad to move it. ?
xray if stil hurts: Is your finger swollen and is there any drainage coming out form it. If you still have trouble moving this finger or still hurting and/or swollen, I will advise you to go to near by emergency room or to see a doctor in his office for further evaluation to make sure that there is no fracture and/or infection. Is there any history: Of an injury or a fall involving the hand or the whole arm or neck area? Is there any numbness or tingling in the pinky/ring fingers? Is pain constant? What brings it on? Most common cause of: This problem is ulnar neuropathy, a nerve supplying the ring and pinky fingers with adjacent part of the hand. Its normally trapped at the elbow (funny bone area) or at wrist (less commonly). Another possibility is that 2 sides nerves are getting trapped at the neck level.
