I have pain behind my knee. It hurts to straighten, put pressure, lift my leg, and i'm limping. What do I need to do to alleviate this problem.
My knee was injured two years ago by a kick to the leg. It feels like it clicks when i put some pressure on it i was wondering what could be wrong?
Doctor can examine: A person whose leg or legs swell up, but has no prior reason for doing so (meaning he doesn't already have a known liver, kidney, heart, or circulation problem that leads to swelling) should be evaluated in the E.R. Treatment depends on the amount of swelling, how fast it is increasing, and the actual cause swelling. New swelling in only one leg may mean a blood clot in that leg (very serious). ...Read more

Quickly or sooner.: By your comments, I'm not sure if you are saying the possibility of a dvt has been ruled out by testing or not. I often get pressure in my knee, and it's relieved by twisting my leg until it cracks. Is this safe?
Probably: These types of symptoms are usually caused by patellofemoral catching. The underneath surface of the knee cap experiences friction in the groove it sits in. This can just be increased friction between the cartilage surface, or occur because of irregularities or potholes in the cartilage surfaces. If it isn't painful it probably doesn't need any treatment except strengthening exercises. ...Read more

Can edema from venous reflux below knee apply pressure on the surrounding arteries which cause the feeling of a pulse without having to touch the leg?
Edema may cause a variety of symptoms. These include aching, throbbing, and itching to name a few. Symptoms are caused by stretching and pressure on surrounding tissues. I cannot say with certainty that your symptoms are related to pressure on the arteries. I suggest you see a vascular surgeon for further evaluation. Have you tried compression therapy ?

My daughter is 2.5 years have knock knees but past 2 days she is applying pressure in right leg while running is that ok?
The knock knee is an inheritance and often
familial. There is no impairment of motor function and activity is fine. As the long bones grow, this effect
straightens out. Bearing on the right foot, just is
preferring to put the right foot forward first and
not related to the knock knee effect. Again no
