Lots of pain in my wrist when I bend it and I don't think I've hurt it in any way. What should I do?
Inflammation of median nerve. See a neurologist for proper diagnosis which may include nerve conduction study. Simple cases can be treated with wrist splints or modification of repetitive movements at work or home that contribute to it.

Old trauma: You wrist pain can be caused by structures around the wrist, such as a sore tendon. It may be caused by old wrist trauma that is now becoming a problem. Wrist pain. Can not bend wrist in any direction. Very little wrist strength. It is extremely tender to the touch.
The main thing is in: -fection, this would be an emergency. If no fever, the wrist is nor red or swollen, then the next 2 things 2 consider are tendinitis or gout, I've see more gout present this way than any other. With gout the wrest is red, painful, but now fever. Often misinterpreted as infection. Labs will show high uric acid. Aspirations will help if fluid can be gotten, & lab will see crystals.
