Some causes of left upper abdominal pain can e assessed by ultrasound or endoscopy, depending on your other symptoms and risks. Pain In LUQ: I bet the pain has nothing to do with the c/s. I would see a GI doc and see if the pain is in their field. If it is from the c/s, it is prob from scar tissue but you would not expect that to cause pain in the upper abdomen. Hope this helps! ...Read more

No: But not necessarily something to worry about. It could just be some post op issue still resolving. Although less likely, it could be something getting worse (infection, bile duct stone, bile leak) best to see your surgeon and follow up.
