Muscle contraction: The term "cold" usually refers to a rhinitis or inflammation of the nasal mucosa. Although i believe this is a viral infection, the cough is most likely a bronchitis. The pain in the back of the chest is most likely muscle contraction and unlikely pain from the lungs. Too general to say: Lots of territory here! do you hurt to touch/press anywhere? How long has this been going on? Any injury? Any weakness or numbness? Any relief with mild meds (tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen)? These symptoms are very general and likely not serious but see doctor if worsening. ...Read more

Pain after MVA: Presumably, you had xrays after trauma. If not, i would suggest you do. In absence of significant injury on xray, i would suspect whiplash to explain neck/upper back symptoms.
