Pain In My Right Back
I have a stitch like pain in my right back, just at the bottom of my ribs. I have had it for a few days.
Few possibilities: This type of pain could be caused by several things. 1. Muscle spasm, 2. Kidney stone or infection, 3. Referred pain from gallbladder/gall stone or other. If the pain is intermittent and not severe, it's more likely to be caused by a muscle spasm. If the pain is severe, if you have fever, urinary or gastrointestinal symptoms associated with it, I'd suggest getting in to see your PCP for an eval. ...Read more

I have history of fatty liver. Is it possible that it is getting worse?
Other etiologies: Fatty liver disease usually does not cause abd pain. I would be more concerned that something else is going on. There is a broad differential including both GI and non-gi causes of this pain. One needs to consider pancrea-biliary, luminal (phenobarbital) and renal sources for the pain. You should see your doctor for further testing. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
