My mammo/us report was negative there were no suspicious findings but I do get pain in my left armpit. It says probable benign reactive lymph.Imscared?

Wait: Benign reactive lymph nodes are exactly that; they are larger and tender because they are reacting to something else, like an infection elsewhere. With the negative mammogram and us, i would just do watchful waiting; if the pain/mass gets more painful or larger, or if it starts changing in appearance or feel, i would see the doctor again. ...Read more

Yes possible: It is a possibility that these are lymph nodes but if its so painful that you can't lift your arm there could even be an underlying abscess developing or more rarely a clot in the aviary veins. Please see your doctor to get an examination ...Read more

Neurological??: We don't know what you mean by saying you had all tests. Assuming you also had MRI and nerve conduction studies, i suggest you revisit a neurologist. It sounds like a neuropathy , which needs further evaluation. If no results them consider pain management specialists who will guide you in diagnosis and treatment. ...Read more

I have a pain in my left armpit and breast, it comes and goes. Any advice?

Any breast mass?: Most things that cause your symptoms will be benign (not cancer). It could be a fibroadenoma, lipoma, muslce strain etc. But you would need to be examined and most likely imaged. A doctor can take a thorough history and perform a breast exam and determine what is causing your symptoms. ...Read more

I have severe pain in my left armpit radiating yo shoulder and down my arm even effecting grip and sensation in my fingers even worse when moving arm?

See ortho: The shoulder and hands are neurologically linked. Pain in the hand can radiate to the shoulder and nerve impingement at the neck spine can affect the shoulder and hand. If you do a lot of things with your hands such as spending a lot of time typing, you may have carpal tunnel syndrome which -> to the shoulder. Need an ortho exam to sort it out. ...Read more

I felt a mild pain in my left armpit and then a tingling sensation started in my stomach and radiates in my left arm and left leg.

I felt a mild pain in my left armpit and then a tingling sensation started in my stomach and radiates in my left arm and left leg.

Too vague to know: I would just watch it and see what it progresses to. At this point it's completely unclear what it could be, but any pain having it's origin in the abdominal cavity (peritoneum) tends to have a diffuse and non-localized character like you are describing. If you develop fever or if the pain is starting to get severe and localizes in one spot then I would go see a doctor immediately. ...Read more

What can I do for pain under my left armpit?

Exam: Assuming you have no nodes swollen in the region, it might be musculoskeletal. The muscle of concern is the seratus anterior, which would elicit pain if you were to push forcefully on something. If the pain is elicited by reaching to the front and out toward the side this would implicate the subscapularis. An osteopath can figure this out and tell you how to heal the problem. ...Read more

Unexplainable pain under my left armpit area and my doc doesn't know what it else. What can I do?

Merits an evaluation: See your doctor, or a specialist. A cardiologist, pulmonologist, orthopedic surgeon, rheumatologist or neurologist could do the systematic evaluation to determine the cause. A careful physical exam, EKG, chest X-rays, cervical spine X-rays or MRI might reveal the underlying cause of the pain. A stress test would help exclude coronary heart disease. ...Read more

I have a pain under my left armpit area and I was wondering if it could be a blood clot?

Possible but: It is possible, but more likely of just a painful armpit, it is an inflamed lymph node (gland). Blood clots in the arm typically present with a swollen arm and painful arm. To make certain, I would see an MD. Blood clots much more common in the leg too. ...Read more
