Inflammation: you probably have a viral if not a bacterial infection. Ibuprofen may help with the inflammation and pain. Some people like tea with honey or lemon. Cough drops can help. See Doctor: I deal with headaches in my dental speciallty of tmj. But it soulds like you may have a sinus or an inner ear problem. Hard to say and certainly cannot diagnosis with such limited info. I have experienced pain in my back around my left ribcage ever since holding in a sneeze(1 day). Persisting pain and increases when I sneeze or turn.
