Neck Pop: Although anything is possible, your symptoms are not likely to be related. Stiff neck and related "pop" are probably neck muscle strain. Pain in the back could be related to the cough. More details are: needed. WHERE exactly in your back do you have the discomfort. An esophageal blockage can cause pain in your upper back! More details but suffices to say you need to have these symptoms evaluated by a Gastroenterologist. General measures include PPI medication (Nexium, Prilosec, Prevacid, (lansoprazole) etc), decreased caffeine/alcohol, no eating within 2 hours of bedtime, smaller meals with snacks in between and elevation of the head of the bed.
