Gastritis & ulcer: If you're still suffering from burning pain in stomach despite taking Protonix every day, ask your prescribing doc for another option like omeprazole or lansoprazole. Think of Chevy vs Dodge vs Ford (or Honda vs Nissan vs Toyota). All make reasonable cars but one might have better product for your specific needs. Same concept applies to PPIs. Right lower quadrant pain could be your appendix. Right upper quadrant pain could be liver or gall bladder. Pancreatitis, gastritis or peptic ulcer might be right sided.
