Depends where: There can be a lot of things that can cause discomfort to the back it can be muscular it can be skeletal, it could be internal organs such as the gallbladder or the kidneys which have inflammation that is felt in the back. What would cause the middle of your back between your shoulder blades to hurt and your right side of your back to hurt?

Such backache is generally due to tiredness, muscle pull/strain, from regular day to day activities, either too much of a normal activity or some unusual one, which can happen to anyone.
Pain meds like a nsaid, applying heat/ice packs and regular stretching exercises woud all help.
