Pain In Middle Of Back On Left Side
I'm having pain in middle of back on left side it radiiates to abdomen. Frequent urination with constant urgency painis 5. Should I go to ER tonight?
What causes pain in middle back on left side (where kidney is)? A sharp pain with deep breath. Pain increases when lying down. Ice barely helps.
Pain: Pain in the back rarely is kidney pain. Kidneys usually hurt when acutely obstructed due to kidney stones or other causes. Kidney pain is not associated with deep breathing or with position. The pain you describe sounds more musculoskeletal. Pain with deep breathing can also suggest lung disease. If it persists or worsens see your doctor immediately.
I have been having constant pain in my middle back and left side under ribs. Any idea what is causing it?
Yes: There could be numerous potential causes, including disk issues, nerve issues, joint issues, rib issues, soft tissue, bone issues, and more. A properly trained physician can do a proper assessment and leave a, hopefully, proper course of action.
Middle left: There are many causes of one sided back pain: localized muscle strain with spasm, facet joint irritation/inflammation is your most likely cause. The facet joints is the site where the vertebral body meet in your back. We ften recommend, rest, antiinflam meds, pt and it pain persist diagnositc and therapeutic facet injections/cortisone. May need MRI and consult with pain physician.
Below: Difficult to answer as to the etiology of the pain without the advantage of a medical exam. There are many possibilities, many minor, some more serious. Guessing at the cause without an exam is not something that should be done.
I have had a consistent pain in the middle of my back on the left side right under the ribs. I have had it for over a month it comes and goes.?
Upper back pain: Recurrent discomfort in this region may emanate from the rib cage, kidney, lung or be caused by an intervertebral disc pressing on a nerve root. Osteoporosis of the spine seems less likely Your physician will take a thorough history of your symptoms, perform a careful examination and order appropriate tests in order to make a diagnosis. Referral to a specialist may then be recommended.
Musculoskeletal: Pain with movement in areas of the body which have high tendencies of injury could mean a musculoskeletal injury. It is good to know more history including onset of pain, the frequency (constant or intermittent), previous similar history, does the pain radiate to other locations, any previous trauma to the area, have you taken any otc meds, does it hurt if you push on the area of pain.
Having pain in the middle of my back on the left side been having the pain for 3 weeks, have tried pain reliever, heating pad, massage, hot bath
Left: Left sided back pain may be caused by back joint problems, pulled muscle and injured rib or vertebrae, sometimes other organ systems can cause the pain. I would recommend being checked by your primary care doctor. Physical therapy is usually the initial treatment. Patients who fail physical therapy may benefit from steroid injections, other interventional pain procedures or surgery depending on the specific problem. Good luck!
I have back ache. Its mainly in lower left side. I have felt a small lump over the area that aches. Ache is persistent and severe sometimes. Please help.
Back Pain and lump: Symptoms of a "knot" or "lump" are most likely a muscle spasm if painful. Alas, may simply be a normal variation, but could also indicate sacroiliac pain (not serious) or facet syndrome (pain made worse by extending the back as a result of pressure on the small joints in the spine). Lumps can also be benign tumors, but usually not painful see a doc if no better.See 1 more doctor answer
Nonspecific: Unfortunately this is a fairly nonspecific question. Heart ache suggests chest pain, which, if persistent, needs to be evaluated by a physician. Depending on the diagnosis, the cause of the chest pain may also be causing your back ache. Sometimes the situation is reversed, with back pain causing radiation into the chest - again, evaluation with a physician will help to sort this out.See 1 more doctor answer
Clenching knots under and around bellybutton level, air bloating, slight lower back ache (maybe more left side). Anything serious?
My right side is more bloated than the left (around my hip). In the past its sometimes inflated and then gone back down. Also have hip/back ache?
Think diet!: Bloating or intestinal pain are almost always related to diet. Many people are severely constipated if consuming the average the American diet. Sometimes there r certain food intolerances such as dairy or wheat that can cause this. A simple x-ray by your primary care physician can determine your degree of constipation. Elimination diets can help determine what foods could be causing the bloating

Take the test: If you want to know if you are pregnant, take a test. In today's world you do not need to wonder if you are pregnant or not based on symptoms. Pregnancy tests are available at any pharmacy and in minutes you will have your answer. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.
Test positive w/ dip stick bilirubin in your urine? What doctor do you follow up w/ & what test do they do? Side ache/back ache/left pelvic ache.
Bilirubin: The dip stick tests are not that reliable for this. If you are concerned and your doctor is concerned, you could follow up with a gastroenterologist.
