Pain lower left (side of body) shoulder blade area, when swallowing anything or yawning, comes and goes every few months. What this this?
Esophagus or lung: Pain when swallowing is usually caused by inflammation or obstruction in the esophgus but pain with yawning or breathing on one side may be caused by spontaneous pneumothorax (bursting of a small air sac near the surface of the lung). A thorough history, physical, and imaging studies man be needed to find out.
Left lower outer chest area with sharp pain radiating to shoulder blade. What is the possible cause? 23/m with history of gastritis and tenting of left diap
Likely GI, but...: In general, such a pain does not sound like heart pain, which is what most people would be concerned about. However, young people can have heart attacks. Such things as family history, smoking, gender, other diseases like high BP and diabetes increase the risk. However, I would think musculoskeletal or GI like reflux more likely. Bad pain, worsening, radiation, nausea, sweating or short breath-be seen.See 1 more doctor answer
I have constant pain behind lower left rib. Sometimes the whole rib area. And left shoulder blade.. Its not muscle or nerve. Also epigastric pain.?
See your doctor: Symptoms and concerns like these mandate a thorough evaluation by your doctor. Only after such an evaluation, which may include labs and radiographic examinations, can he/she let you know what's going on and how best to help you.
Tingle in right hand and finger tips, sharp pain in neck area when I lower my head also pain in elbow joint and shoulder blade all on right side.
Cerivical radiculiti: Sounds like you have a herniated disc or pinched nerve in your neck. Reproduction of the pain and numbness while bending your neck to the affected side is called a positive "spurling's sign". Your shoulder blade pain is also characteristic of this. Would start with some otc antiiflams and if pain persists or weakness develops in hand or numbness persists would seek attention.
Musculoskeletal: There could be many causes for pain. It could be bone, muscle or radiated pain from somewhere else. You may wanna go to pcp and get checked.
Why would u hurt in ur back at lower shoulder blade, it feels like a pin or a knife sticking me in that spot?
A few things: A few thing can cause this. Zoster in its early stages can do this before seeing shingles. A pleuro-pulmonary process, nerve pain from the intercostal nerves may as well. Muscular etiology less likely. A "pinched" nerve in the lower part of the neck or the upper back quite commonly manifests this way. Start by seeing your doctor for an exam and x-rays.
I've had a pain in my right shoulder blade about 5 days. Now its moved to my lower left and right back. Just concerned what it might be?
See below: Shoulder and/or shoulder blade pain can be caused by an irriated shoulder or a pinched nerve in the neck. If turning your head in the direction of pain causes the pain to shoot to your shoulder and shoulder blade there is a good chance it's coming from your neck.
Shoulder blade pain: Your pain may be muscular, but may also be related to heart or lung problems. You should see your primary care doctor for a history, physical exam and possible diagnostic studies.
I hyporventilated 2nights ago severly and now I have sharp pain on my left side back right uder my arm to my lower shoulder blade?
My daughter suffering on and off with a burning sensation in lower shoulder blade. Been happening for few weeks now. She is 13 years old.?
I've been having pain in left shoulder blade in to my chest and going to lower back. Very painful and nothing is helping can you help please?
Injections?: Commonly, shoulder blade pain can be from the neck or bursitis around the blade. Ribcage/chest pain can be from rib joints. Sometimes, trigger point steroid injection of the shoulder balde bursitis can be helpful along with physical therapy, and medications such as muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatories. See an orthopedist.
Its been 2 weeks since my LapApp and I have pain on my lower right side under my ribs, through out my back and my right shoulder blade. What's wrong?
Referred: It is probably a referred pain related to your surgery, I would make sure your surgeon is aware.
Is it possible to have lipomas in different locations? I have a suspected lipoma on my lower back, and I think I just found one by my shoulder blade.
Yes, possible.: Lipomas can occur just about anywhere on the body. There is some genetic predisposition, and individuals can have several scattered about in various places.
Saturday fell off bike, was okay. Sunday lower back went. Noticed lump around shoulder blade, doesn't hurt. Thur, back improving but lump still there?
Few possibilites: Certainly a bruise would take time to fully develop, and even longer to go away. If there is a break in the skin, an infection or some of the road can be in the lump (very doubtful if there was no break in the skin). Warm compresses help bruises to resolve
I am a 36 year old female experiencing constant pain starting under the lower part of my right shoulder blade. Sometimes I feel piercing pain through?
Cholecystitis: The gall bladder problem presents this way when blocked or inflamed. Be aware of a yellow tinge to the "whites" of you eyes and the hurry to a surgeon. If you must wait, avoid fatty foods like the plague. There are, less often, more serious problems. For both, see a surgeon or GI specialist.
See doctor: You have diffuse musculoskeletal pain. Only way to fully access this problem is to have a comprehensive physical exam. Your primary care physician is a good place to start. They can make sure you do not have a systemic problem contributing to your pain and, if needed, refer to a specialist in musculoskeletal medicine. Depending on exam maybe rheumatologist, physical med rehab, chiropractor, etc.
Scapula Pain: Inflammation can occur underneath the shoulder blade where there is a bursa. This is called scapulothoracic bursitis and can be treated with therapy, NSAIDS, pain medications, and possibly a steroid injection. Make an appointment with an Orthopaedic shoulder surgeon to be evaluated and discuss treatment options. Take care, Joe Wilson.
If significant get: Checked. This can't be diagnosed with the information that is available. A history, physical examination & other studies may be needed to determine cause/causes.
