It could be anal fissure, or possibly another colon/anal issue. Depending on your age, and if this has been going on a while, you might want to see your doctor to get a rectal exam/testing to make sure it is not worse, like cancer, etc.. ...Read more

Sudden pains in upper and lower abdomen and then had soft mushy bowel movement, now pains going away but should I be worried and take a day off or?
Abd pain/diarrhea: Could just be a passing intestinal illness, but with the diarrhea, which could come back, you may want to stay home. Your workmates will appreciate that (so you don't spread it). If you get pain that localizes to the right lower quadrant of the belly, along with fevers or more diarrhea, that could be appendicitis, so go to the ER if things get worse. Drink lots of water to make up for the diarrhea ...Read more
