No: Appendicitis starts with about 8 hours of pain around the belly button, and then moves to the right lower abdomen, becomes sharper, and steadily more severe within 12-24 hours to the point that you can't stand it and go to the er. Appendicitis unlikel: Acute appendicitis doesn't last 7 months. Although, if there was a perforation that sealed, there is very remote possibility of abscess formation. For chronic symptoms like this in a young woman, we would consider a GYN cause first, such ovarian cyst or torsion, chronic infection of the tubes or uterus. It's possible.: Although one doesn't usually get diarrhea with appendicitis, any young person who develops right lower quadrant pain and has fevers should be evaluated. It is also possible that you may have some sort of infectious inflammation of your small intestine or right colon. It : It may be an attack of acute diverticulitis which usually presents with pain in the left lower abdomen but on rare occasion the tip appendix may be in the midline or to the left and cause left lower abdominal pain.
