Pain In Lower Left Leg And Foot
I have quite severe pain in lower left leg and side of left foot. I am trying to determine whether it might be varicose vein or something else. There is selling of something just under surface but I can't tell if it is vein or tendon.?
See MD: There is no way to know what is causing the pain without more information and examining the leg. I suggest you see your doctor to get an accurate diagnosis and treatment.See 2 more doctor answers
Many possibilities: The most common causes are poor blood flow to the limb and a nerve problem (either at the nerve root or along the course as it passes down the leg). The distribution of the pain, as well as the factors that make it better or worse, can help to narrow down the possibilities and guide proper treatment.See 1 more doctor answer
I can feel my pulse in 7 different areas of my lower left leg and foot w/o touching. ABI was normal, but I know what I am feeling is not normal. Help?
Normal.: Not sure what you are feeling, but your age and a normal ABI and absence of any other signs pretty much rules out an arterial problem.
Cramping in lower left leg and foot. No injury. No swelling. Should I be worried about a blood clot?!
Not: Necessarily unless you have had a previous clot, are using oral contraceptives, are sedentary, obese or have some type of coagulopathy. DVT is an elusive diagnosis unless thought about. Since you are worried a non invasive vascular exam can easily be ordered by your doctor. No one on this site can say with any degree of certainty that you do or don't with just this information.
Swelling: Swelling may result from different things such as problems with the veins or lymphatic system, systemic conditions like high blood pressure or heart failure, and trauma like sprains and fractures. A visit to your primary care physician or podiatrist may help to uncover the cause. If you are having calf pain and redness with the swelling, you should go to the er to rule out a blood clot in the leg.
I had a slip and fall about 3 months ago. I have right lower back pain. I also have tingling in my left leg and foot with shooting pain and itchiness?
Be seen: You may have a "pinched nerve" in your back. Look out for weakness in the leg and foot as well as bowel or bladder control issues as these may be signs of a severe nerve injury. A doctor can examine you and gauge the severity of your issue and devise a plan for your evaluation and treatment.See 1 more doctor answer

I have clusters of red dots on lower legs & feet, worse on left leg. Doesn't dissappear, doesn't itch & is not raised, just there. What could it be?
One look is worth a: 1000 words. A broad differential would be; bug bites of some type, a viral rash, some broken blood vessels, contact dermatitis from some plant, localized allergic reaction. If they cause you no symptoms it is probably safe to watch for 7-10 days and see if they go away. You could also try to use an over the counter steroid cream.
Tingling in my left leg below knee mostly in ankle and foot. Last nite I lay down on my left side and the lower leg kind of burned?
Tingling in the: Ankle and foot could be due to a pinch nerve in your leg or mose commonly from your lower back. See a back specialist and have it looked at.
I am feeling a discomfort in my lower left abdomen accompanied by a tingling sensation in my left leg all the way down to my foot.?
Tingling sensation: If the left lower abdominal pain is accompanied by low back pain radiating to your left leg, then it may be due to pinched nerve arsing from the spine of your lower back. You need a detailed history, physical exam and image tests if necessary. Consult your physician to find the source of your pain and further management.
My lower left leg, extending to my foot, won't stop twitching for some reason lately. It's like a "creepy crawly feeling" all the time. Causes??
Recently, I have constant twitching in my lower left leg extending to foot/toes. Constant, meaning it never stops (not even for a minute). Help?
Be seen: There are multiple potential causes and I would not hesitate to be seen for an accurate diagnosis. Neurological, vascular, and even metabolic problems can all cause similar symptoms and so arranging a check up with a medical doctor would probably be a good place to start.
I am experiencing a sharp shooting pain in my lower left abdomen. It is intermittent, but the pain travels down my left leg all the way to my foot.?
Back pain: Sounds like sciatica or pinched spinal nerves. You should seek medical help to confirm this.
Lower back hurts. When I stand too long or if I bend back. Pain goes down my left leg to my foot. For about a year now. Cant stand straight?
Back & Leg Pain: Hello. What type of treatment have you had thus far? Any physical therapy, chiropractic, medications? Any stumbles or falls? Any family history of back issues-like spinal stenosis (narrowing around nerves or spinal cord)? X-rays would tell if you have abnormal shift of your spine when you extend it. MRI study would help tell if your discs are involved with irritating nerves in your left leg.See 1 more doctor answer
I get lower back pain that radiates to my left leg. I can feel the pain right above the knee, all the way down in my foot as well.?
Sounds like sciatica: This sounds like a typical case of a sciatica or pain radiating into the leg due to a nerve compression that can be due to a disc herniation usually but there can be other explanations. Generally this is true with pain that goes past the knee and can be confirmed on exam and by imaging with a ct scan or mri. Most get better without surgery.See 4 more doctor answers
