Pain In Lower Ear And Jaw
Where the jaw line meets the lower ear on both sides hurt. Even to touch started 2 days ago not sick so it is from illness. Should I see a dr.
NEEDS TO BE SEEN: NEEDS TO BE EVALUATED TO BE ABLE TO DETERMINE CAUSE OF PAIN.
Visit a dentist: You need a visual and radiographic evaluation to determine the source of the pain. Don't wait.
Since last two three days whenever I lift weight or use stairs, I feel pain in my lower jaw from chin to ears.
Watch your face: You are probably clenching when you do strenuous activities. Lots of people clench their teeth during strenuous activities and basically give themselves a case of temporal mandibular joint disorder which can cause jaw aches, ear aches and headaches. Try to relax when you lift and if the pain persists you should go see your doctor.See 1 more doctor answer
See doctor: Can be swollen gland or muscular. See your doctor to check the swelling to see where it is located and its cause.
Swollen lower jaw right side below the ear, just started yesterday I wonder hwat is wrong, never had this before no?
Not normal: Jaw swelling is usually accompanied by pain and is a sign of a deeper problem. Call your dentist and have it evaluated. If it is dental related, it can progress to become a significantly painful, progressive, and dangerous swelling. Antibiotics tend not to cure these, but a skilled dentist will diagnose and address the underlying causes.See 1 more doctor answer
I have pain in my left jaw, upper and lower that goes into my ear. Sometimes the pain wraps around my head a little and down my shoulder.
TMJ = TMD: See a dentist or TMJ specialist for examination, diagnosis and treatment. Very common.See 1 more doctor answer
See Your Dentist: What you are describing sounds like either an infection or trauma to your tempero-mandibular-joint (tmj). If you have been in an accident, or had trauma (a left hook?) to your jaw, your TMJ would have moved out of its socket. See your dentist or a TMJ specialist. This also could be caused if you grind/clench your teeth which would change your jaw's vertical dimension. A night guard may be needed.
Possible TMJ: See your dentist to be checked for TMJ
Tender TM joint: You may have inflamed temporo mandibular joint. Avoid hard foods and take some nsaids. By the way how long you have this and what started the pain?
Several things: This is a problem that requires a face-to-face meeting with your doctor. In that meeting, your doctor will listen to you, perform a throrough examination and possibly order labs or other tests. Based on this information, he/she will be able to tell you what's wrong and what to do about it.
Possible TMJ: Inflammation of the TM joint will have pain when the jaw moves. Your pain may be from that or sinus or ear inflammation. Your dentist will be able to diagnose and treat or refer to the correct specialist.
Hard lump behind lft ear, then another lower down behind ear. Painful to touch and pain shoots down jaw and neck, help??
See doctor: This is likely an infection which requires a doctor's exam and treatment.
Pain on the left side of face that comes from the lower jaw to the joint and then to the ear. Nothing seems to help with the pain.
Yawning causing pain from left side of the jaw to lower ear for seconds, and gone. What is the cause and is there any remedy or cure for this?
Yawning & TMJ Pain: On maximal range of motion opening, patients sometimes can have "over translation" of the TMJ and this can result in an audible pop or click (actually anywhere within the rotational or translational period) or a brief burst of pain varying in intensity. This doesn't mean that you have a pathologic condition within one TMJ and should not be of too much concern unless it occurs with normal function.See 1 more doctor answer
Small hard lump under right ear behind lower jaw. Have had it for at least 5 years now. What could cause this and what affordable ways could treat it?
Many things: It could be a cyst, tumor, swollen lymph node, etc. Get a referral from your dr. For this to be biopsied, and removed properly. The fact it's been there for 5 yr leads me to believe it is not too serious, but get it removed.
I've had a broken k 9 tooth on my lower left side for almost two months now it is constant pain in the tooth, jaw, ear and last night it started abscesse?
See a dentist NOW!: Two months ago would have been good, but now is the best possible. Do it! It's worth it and you might find a clinic w/ sliding scale rates. Don't delay! There can be effects to other health issues throughout your body from a spreading infection. Call for an appt ASAP. Best!See 1 more doctor answer
