Pain In Lower Chest Upper Abdomen
I have severe chest pain in lower chest/upper abdomen. I went to ER on Friday / Sunday. The couldn't find anything wrong. Still in bad pain.
Head back to ER: It appears you were evaluated for heart problems and lung issues (pneumonia, collapsed lung, mass, etc). There are other causes for your symptoms that are too numerous to mention, all of which require a more detailed evaluation - with possible consultation by a general surgeon. I would encourage you to go back to the ER and request further testing, stating your symptoms have persisted. ...Read more
I've been woken up (1am) with pain spread through my lower chest/upper abdomen And severe nausea. There is loud growling/gurgling and "hunger pains"?
Acute dyspepsia.: This acute finding could be one of a few things, and management will really depend on how today goes. This could simply be heartburn from something you ate last night - perhaps too large a meal or too late eating. Could be a gastroenteritis beginning, and if so vomiting and diarrhea may follow. If you start vomiting a lot or have bad diarrhea, see a local doctor right away. ...Read more

I woke with severe pain in my right shoulder blade that moved to my right lower chest and then upper abdomen. 2nd time in 3 months this has happened.
Get checked stat!: The pain, though seeming to come from your shoulder first and then spreading to your chest and belly, may actually be coming from your chest or belly first. Though this is not typical, you don't want to miss a serious problem in either place. See a doc and find out what is going on very soon (like this week). I once saw a guy with pain in his lower abdomen, and it was due to a heart attack.! ...Read more
Son is 15 he started workin on abdominal exercises I found like a bump on his lower chest N when I touch it he feels no pain. Hiatal hernia? Worry?
Not a hiatal hernia: A hiatal hernia would be located deep within the upper abdominal cavity, behind the lower end of the sternum or breastbone. The hole or defect that the stomach herniates through is in the diaphragm not the abdominal wall muscles. What you describe maybe something in the skin, like a sebaceous cyst or a lipoma, a benign fatty growth. Enlargement or pain should prompt a visit to your family doctor. ...Read more

No: The possibility that all 3 of those studies missed a hiatal hernia is about that of winning the lottery.
