Yes: Herniated disks that are cause of sciatica pain typically get worse with sitting, bending at the waist, and definitely worse with bending/twisting and raising a heavy object. Try avoiding these positions/activities initially. Typically most herniated disk pain improves on its own by 3-6 weeks. LBA under 30: I assume there is no radiation so this points to localized lesions in a "youngster." See your doctor for an x-ray -most likely spondylolisthesis-a developmental instability in the 4th or 5th lumbar vertebra. Less likely is arthritis from old injury or a birth defect.
