Facial pain: Over the computer, guesses would include a possible sinus infection causing swelling and inflammation. Cellulitis is always a possibility, etc. Only way to know for sure is to get an exam and then treated as need be. Best wishes. ...Read more

Hard to say : There are other considerations within the ear like the middle ear or the inner ear. Also the ear is very close to the brain we want to make sure that something there is not causing the symptoms. May be not: First burning feeling in temple without pain is very non specific. If you had ringing in ears, without any pain, ear discharge it is less likely emergent scenario. However, if you have burning in the temple with blurred vision and throbbing headache it can be serious.
