Pain In Left Side Of Neck Artery
Three swollen cervical lymph nodes all on left side of neck some ear pain doctor HS seen one of them says wait 2 month fbc normal should I be worried?
Lymph nodes: The lymph nodes usually enlarge as response to an infection in the vicinity. It lasts maximum 2-3 weeks and as the infection goes away (with antibiotics usually) the lymph nodes disappear. Outside this scenario, I would be worried and demand further investigation (ct is appropriate, a blood smear and CBC with differential, as well as a bmp with enzymes markers analysis) up to an excision biopy.See 2 more doctor answers
Arteries are defined as blood vessels which carry blood away from the heart (to either the body or lungs). Arteries: higher pressure, thicker walls, stretch (pulse) with each heart contraction & deliver blood to the arterioles which control the flow to individual capillaries. Veins are blood vessels which carry blood from capillaries back to the heart (body to right heart; ...Read more
Can see artery pulsating on left side of neck when standing straight. Not seen before. Mild discomfort of left side too..
RU thin?: Your normal carotid artery is often visible, especially in thin people. Aneurysms are not visible and are diagnosed by ultrasound - they are extremely rare in the neck. Carotid disease is not painful. That would be caused by something else, usually muscle strain.
Have a lump about size of a pea next to artery on left side of neck where I can feel pulse. Noticed this for about a few days. Cause of concern?
Watch it: Check it every week or so. If it does not double in size, nor becomes painful, you may leave it alone. An occasional enlarged lymph node in the neck is not uncommon. Make sure to take care of your oral health to ensure it not due to something in your mouth.
Painful lump approx 1"long x.25" wide along the left side of neck - what feels like the carotid artery area. Also - cold sore weeping into left eye?
R/O LYMPHADENOPATHY: LYMPHADENOPATHY may be secondary to infection, requires Ab. If it persists LONGER 8 WEEKS DEMANDS A FULL EVALUATION. You need an Exam& Labs. CT SCAN OF CHEST ABD & PELVIS. BX OF LYMPH NODE. If the pathology is not diagnostic you need a RADICAL LYMPH DISSECTION TO R/O LYMPHOMA VS METASTATIC PROCESS. SEEK PROMPT EVALUATION FROM YOUR INTERNIST AND A GENERAL SURGEON. Second opinion may be warrantedSee 1 more doctor answer
Can you please tell me if carotid dissection artery pain is constant or intermittent? I have pain in front, right side of neck and mild headache
Likely to be more: Constant than to come and go. Neck pain & headache are common problems, though, & unlikely to be carotid artery dissection. If you've had neck trauma or have neurological symptoms (i.e., vision changes, ringing ears, taste changes, facial weakness) you should see your doc asap. Also follow up if it persists or worsens since only an exam can diagnose the problem.
Hi can you please help. My hudband suffers with inflamed vein/artery on right side of neck, its painful when swollen for maybe few hours and tender after, but he feels very unwell in himself after this happens?
Need exam ASAP!: There are a number of possible causes for these symptoms. It's best that you see a physician right away to see if there is an infection or other condition present. It's not possible to give meaningful advice without an examination. I'm concerned that he feels unwell. Don't try to diagnose this on the internet, it will only confuse and worry you. Sorry could not be of more help. Get well soon
Hi can you please help. My husband suffers with inflamed vein/artery on right side of neck, its painful when swollen for maybe few hours and tender after, but he feels very unwell in himself after this happens?

On/off pain on side of neck that goes to ear/head area. Where carotid artery is, Does that mean it's blocked? I'm only 21.It's on the right side
R side of neck next to artery is tender like when a muscle is. Comes and goes. Ice sometimes helps. Can it be a sprain or artery.. Doc seemed not wor?
Ultrasound: I am not sure how long you have had your symptoms. A Doppler ultrasound will assess your carotid artery and help sort out what is causing your pain. Good luck with sorting this out.
Lump in side of neck, runs along carotid artery, some pain and pressure especially when I bend down? Had long time, dr said too soft to be cancer.
Left side of neck very tender to touch where neck artery is. Pain on LS jaw too. On day 3 of antibiotics and it started 5 days ago, has not improved.?
Lt neck pain on Abx: Call you doctor immediately this AM and let them know. Usually with in 48 hours of antibiotic initiation it gets better, if that is not the case you either need a change in antibiotic or better yet should get a CT scan to see if there is an abscess that needs to be drained because an abscess will not improve unless drained and the neck is important are. If doc does not answer GO TO ER today,

Hi, my friend is facing neck problem. She had consulted manu doctors but nothing is working. She is having pain in left side of neck from last 3 month?
Nerve pain: I don't have enough information to clearly diagnose her. She has to be examined to make sure of location, front or back, is there radiation, is it worse with movement, is it associated with injury, is there spasm, is it stiff? These are questions that have to be clarified. It may be simple as needing simple pain med and massage or it can be complicated. Let her see a physician.
Multiple: Could be a musculoskeletal issue or a lung problem. Consider seeing your doctor.
Ice it.: Consider taking something cold from freezer, wrapping it in a towel, and place on the area 10 mins. On, and 10 mins off. Good luck.
Neck pain: Neck pain can be for multiple reasons. Although no obvious injury still that vast majority of neck pain is musculoskelatal. Pain can be neuropathic or even cardiovascular.
Pain in left side of neck and jaw, happens very random for a split second then goes awayand it won't happen for a very long time again! No other symptoms?
Many possibilities: These problems can only be uncovered by a complete evaluation by a dentist experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of tmd's. I encourage you to take the next step!See 2 more doctor answers
I am having numbness on right side of body and feet, circulation seems poor, pain in left side of neck, what is the reason for this?
Could be serious: Its possible that symptoms on one side of your body at one level and on the other side at a different level is just a coincidence, but it might also be due to a problem involving your central nervous system. I'd suggest a consult with your PCP.
