Needs evaluation: This can certainly be caused from a pinched nerve however given the symptoms of left sided arm and chest pain i would recommend a cardiac evaluation to make sure there isn't anything more serious or life threatening occurring. To ER: Other than cardiac disease which will worsen with exertion and also cause shortness of breath, it could be radicular pain from a cervical level. If you haven't been evaluated by a physician, you should be seen ASAP. Sharp chest pain isn't typical for cardiac disease, but women have atypical symptoms. Even young people can have heart disease.
