I have pain in my hip and inside groining area from hyperextending MRI and x-rays where negative but i still have pain?

Sprain/Strain ?: It depends on how the long the symptoms have gone on for. It could be just from sprain/strain of muscle, the hip itself or the problem could be coming from the low back as well . A good way to gauge is whether or not the pain symptoms are getting better on their own with time and if not , i would seek medical advice asap. The good news is that the imaging studies are normal. Can pubic bone instability cause slight swelling of the pubic mound and groin areas and pain in hip when walking long distances? and sciatica pain?

Shouldn't: While the pelvis is all interconnected, the pubic bone is in the front, and shouldn't cause swelling. It is curious why you think this joint is unstable. You may want to ask you primary care if an imaging study would be appropriate. Sciatica is typically caused by disc disease of the spine. Hope this helps! ...Read more
