In a male, what would cause a large lump on left side of groin on the inside?

Hernia?: If you lie flat on your back, with legs relaxed but flexed, does the "lump" eventually disappear? If so, it is most likely a hernia and should be evaluated by a surgeon. If not or unsure, see your dr or urgent care for evaluation and referral prior to onset of problems. ...Read more

Male 21 years old. I have had a lump under my skin in my left groin and also my right side. They're not painful, soft, can somewhat move.???

Probably lymph nodes: If this is something that just recently showed up, the lumps are most likely lymph nodes if they are located along the inguinal fold/canal. Epidermal inclusion cysts are also common in the groin, but are usually hard, not soft, and infected cysts/furuncles are usually tender. See a Dr if they don't go away or start enlarging an/or multiplying. ...Read more

Yes, normal: At least half of all healthy persons have at least one groin lump like this. It's probably a scarred lymph node from some distant past infection. Do not repeatedly examine your own groin. That will just cause such lumps to appear from the pressure etc. Don't worry about it. ...Read more

Sitting or lying down on my side I have pain in groin area, sharp in left back area. Soreness in my left calf area slower urine flow on meds for that.

Urinary tract: All sounds like an issue with urinary tract except the calf soreness. With history of enlarged prostate I would first assume you are having an issue with your prostrate, such as an infection. Prostate can cause groin and back pain. Have your urine checked and see your MD. ...Read more

I'm a male and my left pelvic/groin area is puffy and squishy?

Possible hernia: Groin or inguinal hernias are pretty common in males (although can happen in women too)and appear most of the time as soft protrusion which is usually non or slightly tender. It would be good to get checked and confirm diagnosis. If the area gets hard, difficult to press down and very tender is time to visit the ed, otherwise if not that severe I encourage you to make an appointment with your pcp. ...Read more

I have pain on the left side of my groin area. It never seems to go away and there is no herinia.

May be your hip?: Groin pain, especially on one side only, could be a signal of a hip problem. While you're young to have "wear and tear" arthritis, it can happen - especially if you were born with hip joints that were a little "off" in position. Your doctor will want to know if there are factors which make this pain better or worse, and what you have already tried to relieve the pain. Good luck. Lgromkomd. ...Read more
