Need vascular eval: This could be lymphedema however a missed venous problem (iliac vein) is also a possibility. Infection unlikely without fever or pain, arterial problem unlikely with swelling and fluid overload not likely if it is only one leg.

I do not: Recognize ""nesalone" but am assuming it was a dose of a cortisone-like medication which often helps reduce the inflammation associated with a HERNIATED DISC. Another injection or some ORAL steroids may be the next step. The fact that it appears to be helping is a "good sign"
