Hello I was at work on a ladder and turned and felt something pop in my foot and now have a lot if pain in foot. No swelling. Very tender?

Pops: Could be a lot of things, including dislocation of a joint, tendon, or ligament. Also, could be a tear of a tendon or ligament. Lastly, it could be a fracture. I would have to know where exactly in the foot it is tender. I would also get an x-ray. In the meantime, rice therapy (rest, ice, compression, elevation) until you get in to see a podiatrist. ...Read more

Hard to say: There are many causes of pain in the foot without any apparent trauma. Without knowing more about your boy's health history and getting a look at his tootsie, I'd be misleading you with any specific answers.

Without question, improperly fitting shoes is a distinct possibility and at the top of the list. Why not test your theory and stop wearing your dress shoes for a while.
