Doctor can evaluate: Such symptoms can be further evaluated. One can start with a primary care doctor, who can refer to an orthopedic or orthopedic/spine doctor. A neurologist or a physical medicine doctor is also helpful. A physical medicine doctor is a physiatrist or pm&r doctor, who is knowledgeable in nerve pain, nerve compression, muscle problems, and movement disorders. Female. Sharp pain in upper right groin abt 2-3 inches above leg crease. Comes and goes quickly. Hurts for 2 seconds then gone.

Need more info: Is it random or is there something you do that faithfully will cause the pain? Bend? Cough? Is the area tender to the touch? Can you put your finger right on the spot and cause increased pain? Or is it an internal pain that is difficult to localize. Does it feel like a muscle ache? And electric shock? A burning? Is there a lump in the area? Any other symptoms? Nausea ? Gi cramps? Any recent trauma. ...Read more

Periodic front hip/ upper thigh (groin crease) pain w movement day after alcohol consumption. Causes?

Movable lump in right crease groin about olive size .pain in both knees and thigh comes and goes usually worse when siting for long periods. Cancer?

Lymph node.: The movable lump in your groin is probably a lymph node. That size (olive, about 1cm) can be normal or abnormal, so it should be checked by a doctor. Your knee pain sounds like arthritis. I don't think the two are related. Since a lymph node like that can be related to cancer, get that checked right away. It's probably fine, but better safe than sorry! ...Read more
