Doctor can evaluate: Such symptoms can be further evaluated. One can start with a primary care doctor, who can refer to an orthopedic or orthopedic/spine doctor. A neurologist or a physical medicine doctor is also helpful. A physical medicine doctor is a physiatrist or pm&r doctor, who is knowledgeable in nerve pain, nerve compression, muscle problems, and movement disorders. "pain from sitting" is in that category.

Need more info: Is it random or is there something you do that faithfully will cause the pain? Bend? Cough? Is the area tender to the touch? Can you put your finger right on the spot and cause increased pain? Or is it an internal pain that is difficult to localize. Does it feel like a muscle ache? And electric shock? A burning? Is there a lump in the area? Any other symptoms? Nausea? Gi cramps? Any recent trauma.

Is it ok to put antipersperent in crease of groin area? Even on top of veins in that area?

Is it ok to put antipersperent in crease of groin area? Even on top of veins in that area?

Yes.: The folds of the groin can get moist due to sweating and exceptions. It is entirely safe to use an antiperspirant there, even if veins are seen. Also, fungal powders can be helpful.

I have a 2" long hard lump in the crease of my groin and leg, it is not painful. Should I be concerned?

I have a 2" long hard lump in the crease of my groin and leg, it is not painful. Should I be concerned?

Mysterious lump: A lump in that area could be several things. The most likely thing is an enlarged lymph node. Lymph nodes can be enlarged for a number of reasons spanning from a simple infection to cancer. Another possibility is a hernia. This is where a section of bowel pushes through a weakness in your abdominal wall. You should go see your doctor to get it checked out.

I've got a large lump in the crease of my leg and groin. I know this can be common for men, but what about for women?

Also common: Either way this needs to be seen by a surgeon. He will decide if this is a hernia or enlarged lymph node. Again either way you may require surgery to make the diagnosis.

A lymph node: Small soft lymph nodes in the groin could be normal. Causes of enlarged lymph nodes in that area could be infections in the legs or feet, sexually transmitted diseases, or lymphoma. You should see a doctor and get it checked.

Groin lumps: Hello ~ this sounds like painful inguinal lymphadenopthy and you should make an appt and see your doc so he can examine you and do a few tests because there are many different causes and only an exam can exclude the less important causes and offer treatment thanks

There is a kinda small, hard, moveable lump on my panty line, on the crease of my inner thigh and groin area. It has been there around 2 weeks.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. You may choose to watch and wait. You may feel the lump every couple of weeks, if the lump doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other lumps develop, or you develop fever, you should see a doctor.

My bf has a lump on the inside crease of his leg near his groin, it's egg sized and aches whenever he's been active... Any advice as to what it is?

Go to hospital now: Your boyfriend needs to be examined by his family doc (gp in gb) to determine what's going on. The lump could be a swollen lymph node, abscess (pus pocket), or even an inguinal hernia. Each diagnosis requires different treatment so it's imperative that rather than have someone guess (w/o examination from across the pond) that he get examined by his local family doc.
