But the fact that neck movement brings on left arm pain makes me wonder if you may have a problem in the cervical discs in your neck. Pain: lots of possibilities. If Short of breath or bad chest pain should be seen now to insure not cardiac in origin or lung related. I only mention heart as you have left arm pain too, but hurts more with movement, so unlikely. Sounds like: Nerve irritation or injury that could be coming from your neck seem a very likely explanation for these symptoms. Assessing if neck position change the symptoms might help. A good neurological history and competent examination should sort this out. The pulsating might also suggest a vascular contribution though that can be a pain associated with nerve compression as well. ...Read more

You'd be better off calling the one who prescribed Pepcid (famotidine) and ask for a more potent schedule, strength, or medication.
