Things to consider: Are you on any medication like a statin? If so inform your doctor. Were you recently doing any physical activity? Potassium or magnesium levels could be off. Dehydration could be a factor. One must be concerned with a DVT when calf pain is involved but if you have the condition bilaterally, i would think the odds are pretty low of having this on both sides. For 3 weeks I have awakened several times at night with painful, twisted feet and pain in calves, almost excruciating.
I have never had this happen before, but the other night I was woken up by my left calf spasming an tightening really painfully. What could this be?
