Not a clot: It sounds like a muscle spasm ("Charley-horse") but hard to say without examination. Blood clot is unlikely without swelling. Infection should be ruled out - do you have fever? ...Read more

Serious: Sounds like you have a compartment syndrome. This means swelling in your lower leg compressing the nerves thus contributing to the numbness. This could be so serious as to be thrombophlebitis. This is a very serious condition. Can lead to blood clots. See someone immediately. ...Read more

Sounds like: a DISC problem in your Lumbar Spine !!!!! See an Orthopedist/Spine Specialist!!! The pain is "referred pain" called" Radiculopathy" Hope this helps! Dr Z ...Read more
